We launched
the difference makers committee
As a community we don’t just excel at the craft of doing hair, we care a lot about what we do, how we do it, and the people we get to do it with. At the beginning of 2021 we realized that we don’t want to just settle there, in fact, we believe it is our responsibility to go above and beyond, to keep striving to be innovators and leaders of our industry. With this purpose, The Difference Makers Committee was formed.

paperless
A few changes in the way we run our salons means fewer trees are cut down, more oxygen for us, and less pollution – a cleaner, greener earth. We have gone paperless by using a digital booking system that houses our client appointments and histories, digital forms, receipts, internal reporting and so much more!
WE USE 100% BIODEGRADABLE RETAIL BAGS
We wanted to reduce our use of traditional plastics and seek to use recyclable biodegradable materials whenever possible. We launched the use of 100% biodegradable retail bags that break down in 18 months and leave no harmful residue on the search.

We have partnered with waste sustainability solution services, leveraging proven and innovative technology to reduce the impact of waste generation on our environment. These state of the art recycling and processing systems help us divert our waste from landfills, reduce our carbon footprint, and convert recovered greenhouse gasses into renewable energy.
WE PARTNERED WITH THE FIRST SUSTAINABLE SALON SOLUTION
Green Circle Salons is the industry’s first sustainable salon solution dedicated to fighting beauty waste and climate change. They have reinvented the collection and separation of salon waste, recycling and/or repurposing hair clippings, excess hair color, used metals and foilf, used single use items, and paper and plastic waste. We are proud to be Waste Warriors whose mission is being the change we want to see in the world. We’re making beauty beautiful.
WE USE CRUELTY FREE PRODUCTS & COLOR LINES
We believe in working with brands whose products’ benefits go beyond healthy hair and participate in creating as minimal harm to the environment as possible. The product lines we carry do their part by using cruelty-free, non-toxic formulas free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and phosphates, limiting secondary packaging, and reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, water waste, and energy usage.
